SA Law have been recognised for excellence in marketing and communications at The Law Society of England and Wales’s prestigious Excellence Awards.

With six other firms shortlisted for this esteemed award, the category was not short of worthy competition. SA Law’s Reluctant Divorcee campaign is unparalleled in its field, helping readers through the journey of divorce by combining creative content with targeted advertising. This all led to a real-time blog by the fictional divorcee Rebecca Green, which aims to resonate with those experiencing divorce proceedings.

The expert judging panel explained: “SA Law LLP developed a first-of-its-kind campaign for this sector, incorporating original content and a highly targeted advertising strategy, all of which led traffic to a highly accessible blog. They handled a sensitive topic with great credibility and did excellent profiling of the personas of their clients.”

The Law Society President, Christina Blacklaws says the Excellence Awards recognise firms and solicitors who go above and beyond in their efforts to support their clients. “This year we received a record number of nominations for the awards, which highlights the exceptional dedication, thoughtfulness and skill solicitors and non-legal colleagues bring to their job on a daily basis. Congratulations to the team at SA Law for this well-deserved recognition.”

Julie Gingell, Partner and Director of Marketing & Business Development at SA Law said: “We are thrilled that our campaign The Reluctant Divorcee has won in the Excellence in Marketing and Communications category. We believe The Reluctant Divorcee is a first-of-its-kind for this sector – a highly strategic campaign which uses a fictional blog to convey the divorce journey in real-time, in order to de-mystify the divorce process and to dispel some of the myths associated with instructing a solicitor.”

SA Law Partner and Head of Divorce & Family Marilyn Bell also adds, “Our ultimate aim was to provide a sense of reassurance for anyone who is coming to the end of one chapter in their lives and starting a new one.”
