The Hertfordshire Low Carbon Innovation Network project (Herts LCIN) aims to boost the opportunities for low carbon innovation in the built environment.
The project is run by BRE in partnership with the Green Triangle and Synoptica, and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
We are bringing together networks of potential buyers who are actively looking for innovations which could lower their carbon emissions. We identify shared demand side needs and offer SMEs the opportunity to respond directly to those challenges.
The project gives eligible SMEs the opportunity to meet potential buyers of innovation. Those innovators whose solutions most closely match the needs of the demand side are invited to pitch their innovation directly to the project’s client partners.
“Needs” might include local power generation, district heating, smart energy, smart transport as well as fabric and utility solutions. LCIN would like to partner with a small group of teams to identify a number of shared low carbon challenges/requirements which will translate into an Innovation challenge call for SMEs.
Eligible SMEs who participate in the project receive 12 hours of innovation support, provided by BRE, before being shortlisted to pitch.
The project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
There is no cost for participation.
