On Monday 12 September 2016, a team from Rayden Solicitors took part in the sponsored St Albans Legal Walk.

The 10km walk followed a leafy route through Verulamium Park and around St Albans and was led by Claire Sharp, Chair of the Hertfordshire Law Society and Stelio Stefanou, the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire.

Walkers gathered for a drink at the end of the walk and a raffle took place with prizes donated by local businesses.

The purpose of the annual Legal Walk is to raise funds for the Eastern Legal Support Trust, which runs law centres and advice services in and around St Albans and the east of England. These agencies do an excellent job in providing free legal advice to those who need it most.

The need for free legal advice centres has grown in the past few years.  The recession has increased poverty and reduced support services.  Meanwhile, funding for the advice centres themselves has reduced.

The money raised by Rayden Solicitors helps keep these agencies operating and ensures that their services are as effective as possible.
